According to C. Nagarani, Director of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh several companies have offered job placements to 4,000 students throughout the state, which she finds gratifying since placements are provided during the final year of their course.

In Vijayawada, Principal Secretary to the State Skills Development Corporation, S. Suresh Kumar, made a sharp statement at the Udyoga Vijayotsava programme held at the Government Polytechnic. According to him, skill development courses coupled with education would help the youth in Andhra Pradesh secure jobs faster. Kumar highlighted that the state is currently experiencing a shortage of educated youths with skills in various fields, and developing vocational and other skills along with education is the way forward.

Kumar praised the many students from various departments at Government Polytechnic College who secured jobs this year. However, he lamented that even with government regulations requiring 75% of job opportunities to be given to locals in every industry across the state, candidates with the right skills are scarce. He added that individuals who have completed ITI and polytechnic have more job opportunities, but many students who have studied polytechnics are more interested in pursuing engineering degrees. Kumar noted that many companies are providing jobs to polytechnic-pass students and offering them the skill training required for their companies.

Kumar further explained that companies are providing opportunities for their staff to study B.Tech online and then offering them placements. He encouraged the youth to take advantage of such opportunities. C. Nagarani, Director of Technical Education, expressed her satisfaction that placements are offered to students during the final year of their course. She revealed that various companies have provided placements to 4,000 students across the state. Nagarani emphasised that more girls should be encouraged to pursue polytechnic education, and more people should be encouraged to study not only electronics and electrical engineering but also mechanical and civil engineering, where there are more opportunities.

In conclusion, Kumar and Nagarani offered placement orders to candidates who secured jobs in various companies in the automobile, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, mechanical, and metrology branches. The event was attended by the Polytechnic College Principal, M. Vijayabhaskar, ITI College Principal, P.V. Rameshkumar, SBTET Secretary, K.V. Ramana Babu, Training and Placement Officer, V. Ramakrishna, Deputy Director, Vijaya Bhaskar, and students of the college.
