However, have you ever thought about story reading as amarketing tool? Marketing your story is an important stage of the DELIVERY phase! And surely this is the whole point of writing a story – passing it on to others.

Join our ‘Art of Story Reading Workshop’ with the fantasy author Nick B. Ponter. In this workshop, he will guide you through his own experiences from the inkling of an idea to narrating his own audiobook. He will cover writing style, descriptive scenes, action, picking up the pace, dialogue and more.

Participants will be encouraged to read a passage (or more) from a story. Can you really bring the writing to life so others can really picture the scene and characters?

It is the writer’s task to turn words into pictures. It is the narrator’s task to bring the characters and scenes to life.

What you will learn 

• Ideating a story and  narrating it for your audiobook and worldwide readings.
• Storytelling from a writer’s perspective.
• Storytelling from a narrator’s perspective.

Interaction format

• Nick will support his talk with some short narration from his book.
• Participants read a short passage of their own (choose and practice beforehand).
• Participants write a short scene (descriptive, dialogue, action etc.) and then read it with
• passion.
