The Best Class to Join

Aman Subberwal, 11 years, a student of Modern School , New Delhi shared his newsfeature on Newsworthy Workshop

This century’s children have so much to learn about news. They have several platforms where they can get news, but with all the fake news fluttering around . . . how do you tell what is true? Well get that question answered and many more with the newsworthy class!

Well, if you are interested in learning about the news of today, consider joining the Newsworthy Workshop to educate today’s children, what is the news of today, how do you write news, how to ask questions at interviews and everything else you need to learn to become a pro journalist!

This incredibly interesting workshop is hosted by two experienced journalists, Bidisha Roy Das and Priyanjana Dutta who will give tips as we go along the class (for the children who might want to join, they are lenient, but don’t push your luck. :). As a kid writing this, I have attended the workshop for quite some time now and this is definitely something you should be a part of. It is an interesting workshop that engages kids for up to 2 hours with them having a lot of fun.

We play games, we have activities and learn about journalism and how you can be a journalist. From asking the right questions at interviews, to how to write a story to the different types of questions and so many more things on how to be a journalist, this workshop guarantees that if you pay attention then you will be able to write your own article the best way you can.

This class is important during this time as this can be a good time to pick up new hobbies and even pick up jobs as preparation for the future and this class will help you take up journalism as both a hobby and a potential occupation.

‘I unequivocally think that this class is really worth joining as it is inordinately interesting and the people who facilitate the workshop are experienced journalists themselves and really understanding (+lenient, but you can remove this). This also helps you improve your vocabulary.

My close family are also impressed by how much I have learnt in the time I have attended the class and we guarantee that you will most definitely learn a lot more about the art of journalism, interviewing, and also story writing’, said by Samarvijay Singh Rathore who has been attending the class.
