Young Minds, Newsworthy Stories

Newsworthy has been launched to engage young minds in discussions and debates around News, its usefulness, the way it should be. To reclaim journalism from the mire it is in. To show what News ought to be – Independent, Intrepid and Impartial.

News today is defined by Noise. News is often concocted, fabricated and downright make-believe. What began as a non fictitious medium, today, finds itself more and more fictionalised.

Creating newsworthy stories

The newsworthy section of Children’s Corner, we collate and curate newsfeatures created by children. The last five weeks have been invigorating with a zoom room full of enthusiastic and naturally curious minds, brimming over with ideas and questions. Issues ranging from the dogma of racism and poverty alleviation to the one thing they’re all learning to abide by today – online schooling. The topic is theirs, the writing and research too. These are first time articles/essays/opinions written with a lot of characteristic spirit. Read them and ruminate. It’s the young minds who can really be the harbingers of a much needed transformation in the News space among others.

Although this is just the beginning, what it shows is a lot of promise: promising young minds who understand the difference between what is false and true, the values and principles that define News and what the real character of News ought to be.

If any young ( below 18 years) journalist likes to share news features you can write to us or share your video / text  based stories and images at info@exploredhub.com
